Kids Activities

Both kids just finished some really fun activities. Jamie played in his first team sport, soccer, the past few months and Jordan joined her first class, tiny tots dance. Jamie really enjoyed soccer and loved chasing the ball around. Sometimes he didn't always go in the right direction but by the last game he finally figured it out and actually made a goal in the right goal box! ;) Jordan began dance with sitting in my lap for most of the class but finished the session off by joining the class and participating the whole time by herself! :) They loved the activities so much so we signed them up again for the next session.
Jordan's pose for dance class.
Here she is telling me how excited she is to go to class.
Hmm...which ball should I kick! Even though it was 65 degrees out Jamie still wanted gloves on because it was cold out.

I'm coming to get you!!!

MNO-Favorite Things Party

Pinterest is my new favorite website. If you have not been there yet, you need to check it out! I found this idea on it and thought it would be perfect for our MNO in January. I have been blessed to have found a great group of women through my MOMS Club. Are children's ages range from 6 yrs to 5 months and they love playing with each other. Each one of these ladies have taught me how to be a better mom and how to sit back and remember to laugh at how crazy life can be with little ones! We are fortunate to have supportive husbands who watch the kids once a month for us so we can all get together and have a night filled with fun, laughter, and wine! ;)
This past month we had a favorite things themed party. Each of us filled up a bag for everyone with some of our favorite things. We also brought our favorite drink (mine was champagne) and our favorite food (mine was salad and bruschetta). We had so much fun going through all of the bags, learning something new about one another and laughing the night away. :) No matter how busy I get with the kids, work and school, I always know a MNO is just a few weeks away and that makes me smile.
My goody bags with my favorite colors (black, silver, and white).
In my bag I had hand sanitizer from Bath and Body works, a candle from Michael's, a bag of my favorite morning coffee drink and I made a quote pack for the ladies to carry in their purses.
At the end of the night each of us ended up with all of these items! We had fresh fruit, chapstick, chips, homemade bracelet, favorite teas, favorite alcoholic beverages, cookies, chocolate and music CD's!

My favorite ladies! I look forward to a whole new year of MNO! ;)

Toy Story On Ice

A few weeks ago we took the kids to go see Toy Story On Ice. We were able to get great seats at a great price through my MOMS Club. The kids love Toy Story so they were captivated throughout the performance. After the show we went to one of our favorite restaurants at the Arizona Center downtown. The kids got lots of attention since they wanted to keep their Woody and Jesse hats on. Disney on Ice will be coming back in April and we plan to go again. This will be perfect timing since a few weeks later we will be taking the kids to Disneyland for the first time to celebrate Jamie's 5th birthday! We can't wait!

Ashlyn's First Birthday

Last month we all met in Palm Springs to have late holiday celebration with the whole family and to celebrate Ms. Ashlyn's first birthday! Melanie did a great job with the decorating and planning for the party and had it at Chucky Cheese. All of the kids really enjoyed themselves (even our big kid...Jeremy loved it) and it was a great afternoon with the family. I always enjoy getting the kids together and can't wait when we have another little one to add to the mix in a few months when Jason and Katie have their bundle of joy! Ashlyn is the sweetest, well tempered little girl. She always has a smile on her face and is eager to talk about things she she's. We are so happy and blessed she came into our family!! Love you, Ashlyn!!!
Birthday girl....what a cutie!
Hmm....I think I'll just dive right in.

Holiday's 2011

A little late but wanted to post about our holiday celebration this year. Santa brought new bikes for the kids! It's their first actual bikes and Jamie does very well riding it. Jordan prefers to hold on to the handle bars and pretend like she is peddling while mommy or daddy push her. We are hoping she'll start pedaling really soon on her own! :) At Nani and Poppi's the kids got a new tent that they can sleep in when they stay over and two motorized cars!!!! The kids loves them! It works our perfect because Nani and Poppi have a huge lot and some of it is dirt so the kids can ride in a really big area without having to worry about cars.

We also went over to Palm Springs the second weekend of January to celebrate the holidays with Jason, Katie, Melanie and Ashlyn. We also were able to celebrate Ashlyn's first birthday at Chucky Cheese! We had a great time! I forgot my camera (big mistake) so once I get some pictures from my brother and dad I'll post some. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!
Kids first tent. You can tell they love it!
Nani and Poppi bought Jordan some new shoes. She was already in her pajama's (with footies) but she had to try them on so she decided to take her pajama's off and do a fashion show. Such a girl!
Jordan cruising. This little car has headlights, an MP3 player and a remote control so mom and dad can control where she goes! Hmmm...now if we only do the same thing when she turns 16!

Deer Farm

The day after the Polar Express we went to the Deer Farm. It's a cute little farm right outside Flagstaff where the deer roam freely(in a very big fenced in area so not totally free) and you get to feed them. Jamie did pretty well and Jordan.... well just look at the pictures below.
Happy, excited but FREEZING! :)
The deer came eye to eye with Jamie. He actually wanted to stay down the whole time and walk among them. But, he didnt' like it when they would come behind him and try to munch on his jacket.
Putting Jordan down the first time.....um No thank you!
Nani trying to convince her to get down and feed the deer. Um...no thank you!

Okay...maybe I'll pet one! :)

Polar Express Trip

To start off our holiday season we went up to Williams for the weekend to go to Polar Express. The kids had such a fun time....so did the adults! :) Jamie was enthralled on the train and was looking at everything taking it all in. Jordan loved going past the North Pole, singing Christmas songs with Nani and meeting Santa for the first time this year.
A bit cold for us....I think it was 45 degrees and we were all dressed in thermals!
This is SO much fun!!!!
Having hot chocolate for the first time ever with Poppi. Of course he loved it.
Wow....Santa in real life! I wish I could have taken a picture of her face too. Her eyes were HUGE and she had a big smile.

I believe!
