After giving Jamie a bath the other night, I went to the laundry room to transfer some laundry over and I came back to his room and found him sitting in his chair "reading" his favorite book. He does have lots of words he can say but in this video it's mostly his own language. Enjoy!

How we are surviving the heat!

I know we live in the desert but it's been way too hot lately.....days of temps. 112 or higher! We've been breaking records this summer......so glad this is happening while I'm 7 months pregnant! ;). Our saving grace is Nani and Poppi's pool. It's just down the street and perfect for us. We get to have it all to ourselves, Poppi makes sure the water temp. is just right for us and if' he's home he brings lunch out to us.....we are so spoiled! We've been spending a lot of time playing in the pool and trying to keep cool. Here are some recent pictures of Jamie's new favorite activity in the pool....being thrown by daddy!

The week before we left for our vacation in June, we were thrilled to have our other family (Jeremy's family) come down from Seattle to visit us! Jamie immediately went to his Gammy and Pop's without any hesitation but he was most excited seeing Jeremy's brother and sister (Jamie's other aunt and uncle) Caleb and Faith (aka Sissy). He spent a lot of time with them when he was a baby and he remembered them very well. He LOVED following them everywhere and playing with them. Caleb and Faith are such awesome kids and are so loving so they didn't mind at all having Jamie be their shadow for the week. I enjoyed it because I had someone else to entertain Jamie during the day and they had a lot more energy than I do so it was great. We had a lot of pictures of them and of Gammy and Pops but we lost them before we downloaded them into the computer when the camera fell into the water in Grand Caymans. I was bummed but at least I have these. We can't wait to see them again!

San Francisco Visit

After attending my cousins wedding we headed over to Petaluma to visit Grandma Vi and the Peak Family. On Monday we all went down to the city so Jamie could see the sights for the first time. He had a lot of fun at Pier 39. They have a ton of stairs throughout the pier so he was thrilled with this! We took him to his first aquarium and he enjoyed trying to "catch" all the fish by trying to grab at them through the glass. This past weekend was very busy but we had a blast seeing all the family and visiting the city!

Family Pictures

This past weekend we flew up to the Bay Area to see my cousin, Chris, get married. The ceremony was beautiful and took place on a golf course. My mom's entire family (she's the oldest of eight) and their children (my cousins) came. It was great to see everyone again and for everyone to meet Jamie. Jamie enjoyed being outside on the deck and on the dance floor. He did pretty good for his first wedding!
