Deer Farm

The day after the Polar Express we went to the Deer Farm. It's a cute little farm right outside Flagstaff where the deer roam freely(in a very big fenced in area so not totally free) and you get to feed them. Jamie did pretty well and Jordan.... well just look at the pictures below.
Happy, excited but FREEZING! :)
The deer came eye to eye with Jamie. He actually wanted to stay down the whole time and walk among them. But, he didnt' like it when they would come behind him and try to munch on his jacket.
Putting Jordan down the first time.....um No thank you!
Nani trying to convince her to get down and feed the deer. Um...no thank you!

Okay...maybe I'll pet one! :)

Polar Express Trip

To start off our holiday season we went up to Williams for the weekend to go to Polar Express. The kids had such a fun time....so did the adults! :) Jamie was enthralled on the train and was looking at everything taking it all in. Jordan loved going past the North Pole, singing Christmas songs with Nani and meeting Santa for the first time this year.
A bit cold for us....I think it was 45 degrees and we were all dressed in thermals!
This is SO much fun!!!!
Having hot chocolate for the first time ever with Poppi. Of course he loved it.
Wow....Santa in real life! I wish I could have taken a picture of her face too. Her eyes were HUGE and she had a big smile.

I believe!

My new hobby.....

So, I have a new hobby that I have fallen in love with....sewing! I know...crazy ! Especially since I have no creative or artistic bone in my body but my very patient friend, Jody, came over to give me a hands on lesson and I love it! I find it very relaxing. I am making dresses for Jordan right now. They are called pillowcase dresses and are the simplest dress you can make. Once I get this down without any mistakes then I'll move onto more complex dresses. Anyway, it's nice to have a hobby again and have friends to do it with.
I'm focusing very hard on making sure my stitches are straight...they still came out crooked but hey, I'm still learning.
A big reason why I want to get more into crafts....Jordan! I'd love for her (and Jamie) to grow up doing crafts with me and making things too. Here she is helping me pin my fabric to measurement of her dress.
Finished product!

Ignore the crazy hair...but here it is with a shirt underneath it. I can also put long sleeves under it and add a pair of jeans to it for a layered look.

Jordan's 2nd Birthday - Family Celebration

For Jordan's second day of celebration we were blessed to have my whole family come out. Great Grandma, Aunt Melanie, Cousin Baby Ashlyn, Uncle Jason and Aunt Katie all came out to celebrate Jordan's birthday and her baptism (which was the following day). She had a lot of fun opening the gifts and her cousin, Ashlyn, really enjoyed helping as well. She loved having us all sing Happy Birthday to her. It was a great night and with having her surrounded by so many people who love her made it that much more special!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Baby Girl!
Her reaction to all us once we were done signing Happy Birthday....so cute!
Lot's of new baby toys. She got a whole new baby changing station, new diaper bag, and a new baby that has a little potty with it (hoping this will help with potty training).
The two cuties.....Ashlyn had so much fun helping with present opening.

Jordan after cake and opening presents.....crazy girl!

Jordan's 2nd Birthday - Wildlife Zoo Trip

Jordan was a very lucky girl this year and had two days of birthday celebration! The first day was on her actual birthday and Nani and Jeremy took the day off from work and we all went up to the Wild Life Zoo. Jordan loves animals right now so we thought this would be perfect for her. We all had a great time! Jordan was fascinated with all the animals...in particular the monkey's. They kids also went on the Sky Ride, the Safari Train and the Water Ride. So much fun and we can't wait to go back again.
Birthday girl....her theme was Tinkerbell so I ordered her a shirt with the number 2 on it and her name underneath it. I tried to get a good picture of it but this was the best I got. :)
Watching the monkey's swing around in their homes. She LOVED it!
Daddy and Jamie just finishing with the water ride. There was a big drop so I was surprised Jamie enjoyed it as much as he did. He went on a it a few times.
Best buddies....relaxing on the train ride.

Nani with her best buddies! The kids always have so much fun with her!

Our Baby Girl turns 2!!

As many of you know we are a very musical family (i.e: I don't mean we actually have musical talent but we always like to have the radio on and spend many nights dancing the night away as a family). From the moment I found out I was pregnant with Jordan the first song that came to mind for her was "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. I sang this song to her throughout my pregnancy and when I would rock her to sleep as a baby. I love the words to this song and feel it's very appropriate for her. She has defininlty taught Jeremy and I about patience and understanding but most of all she's taught us what love is all about! We love you baby girl!
(one day old)

"Isn't she lovely, Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious, less than one minute old

(one year old)

"I never thought through love we'd be making one as lovely as she
but isn't she lovely made from love

(two going on twenty!)

"Isn't she pretty truly the angel's best
Boy, I'm so happy we have been heaven blessed
I can't believe what God has done through us he's given life to one
but isn't she lovely made from love."

Fun Pictures from this month....

September has been a very busy and fun month. Jamie's in his routine with preschool and loves it. Jordan now has her own little group of friends who are also 2 and has playdates with them a few times a month. I'm now going to school for nursing pre-req's and in a few weeks Jeremy will start playing league softball again. Busy...busy.....but having a great time! Here are some pictures of the kids this past month.
Jamie has been very helpful in the kitchen lately. He always wants to assist with preparing meals. In this picture he's helping to make our protein smoothie that we have every morning. Yummy!
Jordan is really into stickers right now. If I can get her to put them on paper rather than herself that would be great. ;) Here's she's trying to see how many stickers she can actually get on her arm.
In a few weeks, Jordan will be turning 2 yrs. old! She's growing up so fast and is becoming very independent. She now wants to eat her cereal at the table, rather than in her booster seat, and wants to feed herself. It can get very messy but I like seeing her try to do things on her own.
It hardly ever rains in Phx so when it does we try to go outside and play in it. The kids were having a blast jumping in all the puddles and splashing eachother.

They went from rain water to bath water later on that night. :)

LA Trip

We were lucky enough to take another trip over to LA this month. We had a lot of fun. It was great to see Mel and Ashlyn. Ashlyn is so cute and is such a good baby girl. She's crawling now and babbling away. Jordan had fun interacting with her. Ashlyn was fascinated with Jordan and would watch every move she made. We went to the park, to the Sea Life Center, and ate lots of yummy meals. We hope to see them again soon!
Big girl....Jordan walking through the airport with her backpack. She thought she was such a big girl!

My beautiful niece - I love her to pieces. She's so cute and sweet!
Proud mommy and Ashlyn. They have a lot of fun together.

The girls taking a break and swinging for awhile.

Catching Up - Staycation Trip & Baseball Game

We've been super busy so I'm a bit behind on our blog. Things are starting to calm down some so I hope to be blogging more. Last month, Nani and Poppi invited us to stay with them at the JW Marriott Villas in Scottsdale for a long weekend. Throughout the four day stay, Jeremy, Nani and I had to work some of the days but since we were close to home we could drive over to the hotel right after work which was great. The kids had a blast in the swimming pool and really liked spending time with Nani and Poppi while Jeremy and I went out by ourselves. The resort was beautiful and we hope to go back next year.
Taking after his auntie's and uncle's footsteps....he loves playing basketball!

Nani's little shadow.....Jordan! She loves playing with Nani and following her everywhere. Here they are playing peek a boo.
Me and my baby girl! Love her so much....XOXOXO.

This past month we also went to the annual Sears Sponsered Diamondback Baseball Game. The kids LOVED it. Jamie was watching the game intently and made sure everyone was clapping when they were suppose to. A couple of times I wasn't and Jamie reminded me I needed to. :) Jordan was very good and sat on Nani's lap and kept pointing to everything and saying, "Wow!" Their favorite part of the game was when we went to the upper level and took them to the kids playground. We hope to go to more games next season!
Jamie playing tag with another little boy at the playground. He was having so much fun.

Jordan checking out the game. She is getting so big!

Back to School!

I'm sure it seems crazy that it's back to school time for us but it really is. In Arizona the kids start school the last week of July or first week of August. This year Jamie is attending two preschools. He's going to a Montessori preschool two afternoons a week and to another preschool one morning a week. Both preschool's are wonderful and the teachers do a great job with creating fun, hands on activities so I know Jamie will have a great time this year!
First day smile.....what a cutie pie!
I love this picture.....they are practicing how to sit down for class. Jordan, of course, wanted to stay at school too. But, I'm not ready to give her up yet. :)
What a little stud....checking out the scene as he approaches his school.
Here is with Mrs. Kristin and fellow classmates. I was trying to sneak in and get a picture but this obviously didn't work. Jamie saw me right away and his look say's it all. I think he was thinking, "Aww mom....can't you wait by the door like the rest of the mommies!. " :)

One of his projects from the first day. It's a great idea teaching the kids math, reading and colors. The kids dipped one hand in one primary color and then rubbed them together to make a secondary color. Jamie, who hates to have his hands dirty and has never been a big fan of fingerpainting, actually participated in this project and enjoyed it.

More from LA.....

We were only in LA for three days and two nights but we managed to pack a lot of fun things in during that time. We went to the park, to the beach, took walks, and ate at some fabulous restaurants. The girls played well together too. It was so much fun to see Mel and Ashyln and I can't wait to go back in Sept. and see them again.

Play time at the beach.

Jordan felt the beach was a bit cold and spent most of the time snuggled up to Nani. In fact most of the trip she spend snuggled up to Nani! It was great because it gave me a chance to hold Ashyln a lot which is exactly what I wanted to do. :)

Pretty girl playing in the sand. She's only six months old and sitting up on her own!

The proud mama's! Mom got Mel and I both a gift bag to celebrate our first girls weekend. It was really neat to have my mom with her two daughters, and Mel and I with our daughters. I'm sure this is the first of many weekends to come.

Jordan playing a game with Nani at dinner. I love her expression!
