Santa Visit

We took a trip to visit Santa a few weeks ago and I think the pictures speak for themselves! ;)

Jamie was shaking violently and saying, "No, no, Santa."

After hanging out for awhile near Santa's village, Jamie warmed up to Santa and wanted to sit on his lap again.

My Big Boy!

I know I've been posting a lot about Jordan so I wanted to also post about my favorite little boy. Jamie is two and a half now and so much fun! Don't get me wrong, he's been experimenting with what he can and get away with (eg. whining to get his way, etc) but overall he's still such a good kid. He still goes to swim class on Saturday's and a few months ago we also signed him up for a sports class on Friday's. The class attempts to teach the kids basic skills in baseball, soccer, basketball and tumbling. I say "attempt" because lot's of the younger kids (including Jamie) would run around the room and make faces in the mirror that covers half of the wall instead of listening to Coach Lance. Coach Lance runs the class and he is awesome! The class has five kids ranging from 2-5 yrs old and all boys. Jamie has a blast every week he goes and it's fun watching him and the rest of the boys just be boys!

Teamwork....setting up the tee for one of his buddies.

After about three classes Jamie finally realized a soccer ball is for kicking and not holding.

Jamie's other favorite activity is going to the park. We go to the park about five days a week.

Having a blast at the park. It's officially winter here in Phx and cold to us (50 degrees out) so Jamie wanted to wear his snow hat.

Jordan's Two Months Old!

Baby Jordan is two months old! She is getting so big and is making new facial expressions and cute little noises all the time. Now that she's on medicine for her reflux and I'm on a dairy and soy free diet her fussiness has decreased and she seems much more comfortable and content. She's sleeping about five hours during the night which is great! Jamie loves to come over and check her out all of the time. His newest thing is to touch each body part of her's and say, "baby's nose, baby's elbow, baby's knee" etc. I have to remind him he can't touch her eye! ;)

Our day's are busy but it's a lot of fun and this holiday season is so special with our preciouos baby girl here!

She LOVES this wrap. I didn't consider Jeremy when I picked out the pink flower one but he is great and wears it anyway. Here she is with daddy mowing the lawn. If she could she would stay in this all day.

She started smiling right around one month old. Here she is smiling at mama!

What a big girl......

Here she is with her teddy bear.

Days can be hectic but at the end of the day we all crawl into our bed and snuggle. It's my favorite time of the day!

Daddy's Buddies

We have all enjoyed the family time we've been able to have these past 5 1/2 weeks with Jeremy being off from work. He starts working from home on Monday and then officially goes back to work in the office on January 4th. He's been a big help to me and does a wonderful job of taking care of Jamie and assisting with Jordan. We love you daddy!

Jordan's One Month Old

I can't believe how fast the past four weeks have gone.....Jordan is one month old! She's doing great. She is a cuddler and loves to be held. Her favorite activities are eating and sleeping! She just started smiling at the end of last week which has been fun. Nothing is better than those smiles without any teeth (aka gummy smiles). She's been back and forth with a schedule (one night she'll go for four hours between feedings but the next night only two). I'm hoping in another month we'll be on a more consistent schedule but we'll see....I can already tell she has a mind of her own. She already is captivated by her big brother and zones in on him whenever he enters the room. It's very sweet. Jamie is still doing really good with and likes to "help" take care of her.

Sitting in her bouncer for the first time. She did pretty good in it but definitely prefers being in a sling or being held.

Aww...sleeping beauty! I love how her little hands are folded under her face.

This is the bear that her Great-Grandma Vi got her. Grandma Vi got Jamie a brown one when he was born and I took pictures every month with him next to it so see how much he grew over the first year of his life. I'll be doing the same with her (if I remember!).

Fun at the State Fair

Last week Nani and Poppi took Jeremy and Jamie to the Arizona State Fair. I figured Jamie would enjoy walking around and seeing the animals but not go on any rides....boy was I wrong! He loved the train, the helicopter and airplane ride and the big slide. He loved the airplane and helicopter ride so much that Nani and Poppi lost count after he rode it for the 15th time! Thank goodness it was wristband day (unlimited rides)! He also enjoyed feeding the animals and was fascinated with all the lights that were turning on when they were leaving at dusk.

My Big Boy riding the train all by himself with another little boy! He's sitting so nicely!

Happy boy on the helicopter.

Look at me!

Riding the airplane up and down. He tried the other airplanes but liked this one the best.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's............

Super Jamie! This year we dressed Jamie up as Superman. He wasn't that excited to get into his costume at first but once I explained he'd be going to the park and seeing other kids he was ready to go. Nani, Jeremy, Jay and Katie all went with Jamie to the Trunk or Treat Festival in Queen Creek. Jordan, myself, Poppi and Melanie stayed at home to pass out candy and make dinner for everyone. Jamie had a great time at the festival and really enjoyed the fire truck and chasing another little boy who was dressed up as Superman at the park. Hope you all had a great Halloween!

Super Jamie! What a handsome little guy.

This is Jamie being shy.

My Playmates are Back!

This past weekend Jamie and Jordan's Aunt Melanie, Aunt Katie and Uncle Jason all came into town for the weekend. Jamie warmed up to them pretty quickly and had a lot of fun with them. They were all excited to meet their niece and each of them had plenty of cuddling time with her. We are so thankful that each of them have been so involved in our children's lives and take the time to come over and visit us as much as they do. We love you guys!

Aunt Melanie and Jordan.....her auntie fell in love with her this weekend and spent most of the time holding her. It was nice to have so much extra help this weekend! :)

My First.....

Jamie and Jordan's aunts and uncle came into town to celebrate Halloween with us and to meet Jordan for the first time. They both came with gifts for their niece and nephew and here are some of the gifts they brought for them......

Jamie has officially gotten his first pair of Air Jordan's. I think this is a rite of passage for most boys!

Jordan is on her way to being a fashionista with her first pair of Baby Uggs! Don't worry I won't have her wear them with short shorts (I think that's the trend right now!).
Jeremy and I are thankful that Jamie and Jordan have such trendy and fashionable aunts and uncle and that they are passing it on to them! ;)

Pumpkin Carving

A cold front came through Phoenix the past few days and we have had very low and cold temps. during the day with a high of 64 degrees! Two days ago we were at 80 degrees! So, we pulled out our winter clothing (I know pathetic to all of you who live in Seattle...) and decided it was perfect weather to carve pumpkins outside. I love this weather because it really feels like Fall. The artist Jeremy is, already had the pumpkins ready to go with graphics that he stenciled on them. Jamie was very curious about everything and was eager to help daddy. They had a lot fun together and we have some pretty cool pumpkins to light up on Halloween night!

Jamie helping clean out the pumpkin. He wasn't too sure about the goopy stuff that came out.

Still cleaning out the pumpkins.

I love my sister!

We've been at home for almost two weeks now and Jamie is still doing great with Jordan. The first thing he does when he wakes up is come into our room to see her and in the evening before bed we all cuddle up in our bed for awhile. Jamie has to make sure he's next to her. He's very gentle and careful around her.

Jeremy has done a wonderful job of taking care of Jamie and housework the past few weeks. I don't know what I'm going to do when he has to go back to work! He's a great Mr. Mom! I must admit I knew it would be a lot of work having an almost 2 1/2 yr. old and a newborn but I didn't fully realize how much until she came. So to all of you mama's out there who have two or more children...bless you! ;) I'm sure once she sleeps more through the night I'll get more of a handle on things around the house....maybe. I did love Jeremy's comment the other day....he said staying at home all day all he feels like all he does is dishes and keeping the kitchen clean. (I know you mom's can appreciate that!)

Giving love to his sister.

Proud big brother!

When I am feeding Jordan he likes to put his hand on her head....so cute!

Jamie's new "big brother" toy. We gave this to him the same day we brought Jordan home.

He has a stool he brings over to her bassinett to check on her. He also brings the stool to her room when I'm changing her to check things out and help.

Jamie meet Jordan!

I'm trying to catch up the blog in between feedings and naps! :) Here are a few pictures of when we brought Jordan home. We didn't have Jamie meet her until we came home from the hospital. As soon as we got out of the car and he saw that I was carrying the carseat he came running outside saying, "baby Jordan (he pronounces her name as Jordy)." He was very excited and wanted to get a closer look at her. Once we set her down on the floor he ran and got his favorite matchbox toys and started showing them to her. It was so cute! I actually thought he would look at her and then go about his daily business but he's very into her. He likes to make sure she's okay and likes helping me out. He's going to be a great big brother!

Welcome to the World.....Baby Jordan

Last Sunday, Oct. 11th, we were able to finally meet our baby girl, Jordan! I was induced Sunday at around 11:30am and ended up having her that evening at 7:18pm. She was 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and 18 inches long. She has a lot of dark hair and you can definitely tell Jamie and her are sister and brother. Jeremy and I are absolutely thrilled to have her home and are so thankful to have two healthy and happy children!

Here she is.........

Getting dressed after her bath.

A little hard to see but she's in my arms.....two VERY proud parents!

Pumpkin Patch

Tonight we took our annual trip to Schneph Farms to visit the pumpkin patch and ride the train. I didn't know if I would last long since I'm 39 1/2 weeks pregnant but I did pretty good! I was hoping all of the walking would lead to labor but so far it hasn't. :( Jamie really enjoyed the large stacks of hay they had....he just wanted to keep climbing up and down them. He also liked going on the "spooky" train, eating kennel corn, and riding the tricycle around the track. We had a great evening!

He loved climbing up and down the hay stacks.

Jeremy was singing the Rocky Tune as he made his way to the top of the stack!
Daddy pushing Jamie around the trike track.

My cutie pie....he sure looks like a big boy in this picture!

*Pregnancy Update: She's still hanging out so if I don't have her by this Sunday they will induce me. We have an appt. at the hospital set for this Sunday afternoon but I'm still hanging on hope that I'll go into labor before then! We'll see.......
