Sting Ray Bay

Today we took a boat tour to see Sting Ray Bay. We took a 20 min. boat ride on a glass bottom boat to the area where all of the sting ray's play. It's in the middle of the ocean but on a sand bar so it was only about 5 ft. deep. The sting ray's have been there for years and are very mellow and come right up to you looking for food. Jamie went in for a few mins. and then was ready to come out. He wasn't quite sure about the big black things that were swimming by him! Jeremy, Nani and Poppi had a blast and were able to each hold one of the sting ray's. I volunteered to stay on the boat with Jamie and take pictures. The captain of the boat was very nice and actually brought one over to me on the boat dock so I could touch it. After the visit here we went to a coral reef garden to do some snorkeling and Jeremy saw his first barracuda! It was about 6 ft. long! Needless to say, it was a great adventure today and we all had a lot of fun!

On the boat after we were done. It was a little chilly with the wind blowing but that didn't seem to bother Jamie. This was his first time being on a boat and he was fascinated with everything going on.

Jeremy playing with the Sting Ray! He was smiling but I could tell he was very nervous! :)

The Captain showing Jeremy how to hold it.

How Jamie felt at the end of the trip.....exhausted!
